Exceptional Place and Hosts!

First of all, if I could rate higher than 5….I would!

Location, location, location! When you arrive at the Indian Falls Chalets the first thing you see and hear is the Indian River, meandering in your backyard. Wow!

The Chalets are very well appointed with everything you can think of and high quality finishes and absolutely spotless! Cozy, comfy and convenient! Fire pit provided and supply of chopped dry wood to boot!…. just on another note, amazing acoustics for the musically inclined!lol

Michelle and Shawn the hosts, made us feel at home right away, and were very helpful to any questions or requests we had! Very genuine and passionate about their home, heritage and creating the perfect retreat!

Highly, highly recommend any time of the year!

Absolutely Beautiful!!

From the minute we got there, Shawn and Michelle were out to greet us! They are 2 of the most friendliest people you will ever meet! They made us feel so welcome from the minute we arrived until we left!

As soon as we opened the door to the chalet, Dreamin the dream, we were amazed at how beautiful and extremely clean it was! It is beautifully decorated and very spacious. The beds are very comfortable as are the pillows. It is very well equipped with everything you need at your fingertips. Friday night we done the fire and ice, it was absolutely beautiful. We met at the fire pit and all went snowshoeing, came back to hot chocolate and bannock!

Saturday morning Shawn took us on a snowmobile tour and they had a delicious lunch, which included smoked salmon, packed for us! It was the most amazing day! We hated to leave and we are already planning our next trip over. Shawn and Michelle are the best hosts you will ever meet! We would highly recommend Indian Falls Chalets, you will not be disappointed! We look forward to our next visit!

    Time with Family

    Chalet is extremely well appointed with an amazing level of thought in the details

    It’s been a very long time since I walked to the falls as a teenager to sit and watch the salmon jump. After having been away for many, many years I was so excited to be able to look at the falls from our balcony, and to walk to it in 2 minutes from our chalet, aptly named “Going Home”, The chalets are superbly linked to nature trails, the river and many varieties of birds are fed regularly from the deck ( aka ‘the bridge’ ). Whether you are going to participate in outdoor activities sponsored by Michelle and Shawn or just to chill with solitude in nature, you will not be disappointed. They are the consummate hosts and are well versed in the fascinating geography and history of the area. Our weekend stay ended much too quickly. We eagerly anticipate experiencing what the upcoming seasons have to offer us at Indian Falls Chalets.

    Artwork by local artists displayed throughout the chalet represented, in my opinion, the soul of Newfoundland. Also, toiletries handcrafted by artisans of the island using all natural products were appealing and could be purchased from the office.

    As we travel far and abroad, we will spread the news of this wonderful woodland retreat near our childhood home.
